Sea Adventure Excursions

Sea Adventure is a family-run company with over 25 years of experience in boat tours around the Maltese Islands. Their tours allow you to witness the archipelago’s spectacular coastal sites from an amazing viewpoint.

The organised tours by Sea Adventure are aboard a modern catamaran with amazing facilities including waterslides, an on-board kitchen, fresh water showers, toilets, and comfortable cushioned sun beds among others. There is also running commentary with information about the sites seen in English, French, German, Italian and Polish. All tours depart from the Bugibba quay and are suitable for all ages.

The Blue Route goes to the Crystal lagoon and Blue lagoon in Comino. It takes around an hour to get to Comino, during which the catamaran cruises close to the coast so that you can see all that Malta’s coastline has to offer. It also passes by the Islands of St Paul where Christians believe St Paul’s Shipwreck happened and brought Christianity to Malta. Upon arrival in Comino, the boat stops for an hour at Crystal lagoon which is only accessible by boat and has clear water to swim, snorkel and dive. The tour then continues by heading to the Blue Lagoon. On the way you can see a wrecked German ship courtesy of the boat’s underwater windows. The boat moors at Blue Lagoon for the rest of the afternoon which is approximately 4 hours. You can choose to swim/snorkel, relax on deck, or explore the island. Returning back to Bugibba, the tour takes you to Santa Maria Pirate Caves and the magnificent rock formation of the elephant’s head.

The Yellow Route is similar to the one previously mentioned, with the addition of Gozo to the cruise. Also passing close to the coast on the way to Comino, it stops at the Blue lagoon for an hour. Following this, the catamaran makes its way to the port of Mġarr in Gozo where it  moors for three hours. You are free to make your own plans or book land transportation to Victoria or Xlendi with Sea Adventure. The tour continues to Crystal lagoon where you will stay there for an hour. Prior to returning to Bugibba, the boat will also pass through Santa Maria Pirate Caves and Elephant’s Head.

The Orange Route is a Blue Lagoon afternoon sunset cruise. Departing at 16:30 from Bugibba, the catamaran takes you to the popular and beautiful Blue Lagoon for 2-2.5 hours. This is a more serene and relaxing experience as most tours and boats would have started to return back home. You can enjoy a drink or bite on board whilst enjoying the calm, turquoise waters. The boat returns back to Bugibba, passing through sea caves and observing the Mediterranean coastline as the sun sets.

If you’re adventurous and seeking to check out Malta’s more under-the-radar locations, the Coast, Coves and Caves Tour is perfect for you! This half day excursion starts at 11:30am and comes to an end at 3:30pm. It starts off by visiting Xemxija and Mistra Bay, as well as passing by St Paul’s Islands. It then proceeds to go to the remote Imġiebaħ Bay which is extremely quiet due to its difficulty to access. The boat stops here for 15 minutes so that you can enjoy a nice refreshing swim or snorkel. The next stop is at the Coral Lagoon, which is a naturally formed roofless cave with crystal clear turquoise water. The tour continues to Comino where the boat stops at Santa Maria Pirate Caves, known as a snorkeler’s paradise. They are a fascinating cave system consisting of gullies, caverns, tunnels and caves. Snorkelling equipment is included.
